Kashmir-Leh-Ladakh – 10 Days / 9 Nights
Day 1 Leh
Welcome to Leh – the second largest district in India. On arrival free time to guest for acclimatisation.
Day 2 Leh
Today we visit Shey Palace – was used as a summer retreat by the kings of Ladakh, the Indus river, Hemis Gompa – believed to be the wealthiest and biggest monastery in Leh. In the evening, we get to know more about the culture followed in Leh through the Folk dance show.
Day 3 Leh – Khardung La Pass – Nubra Valley 138 Km(3h 50m)
Today we proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (La means pass in Tibetan) – world’s highest motorable pass. Nubra Valley is where the Shyok River meets the Siachen river to form a large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. We also visit Cold desert.
Day 4 Nubra Valley – Leh
Today in the morning visit Diskit – Future Bhuddha and then we proceed back to Leh.
Day 5 Leh – Pangong Tso
Today we enjoy full day at Pangong Tso – also known as Pangong Lake. The most notable feature of this lake is the ever changing hues of the lake. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a large variety of migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes and Seagulls. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.
Day 6 Pangong Tso - Leh
Today we proceed back to Leh.
Day 7 Leh - Alchi – Kargil
Today we proceed to Alchi. En route we visit Magnetic Hill, Patthar Sahib Gurudwara and Sangam of river Indus and Zanskar followed by visit to Moon land and Lamayuru Monastery. Later we visit Alchi Gompa – mainly known for its magnificent and well preserved 11th and 12th century wall paintings, all in an Indo-Himalayan style. Overnight stay at Kargil.
Day 8 Kargil – Drass – Leh
Today we visit Dras War Memorial also known as Vijay Memorial – built in the memory of fallen soldiers in the 1999 Kargil war. The museum in this war memorial exhibits army emblems, model of Himalyan Mountain Range and documents archive. There is a special War Gallery namely Captain Manoj Kumar that has photographs and weapons. The walls have the name of the soldiers who sacrificed in the war. In the evening arrive in Leh.
Day 9 Leh
Today we visit Hall of Fame War Museum and Shanti Stupa – built to promote world peace and prosperity and to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism we also. Enjoy shopping in the evening.
Day 10 Departure from Leh
It’s time now to say goodbye to our tour companions. Let us be in contact with each other through email, Facebook, calls…. And meet again on one more memorable tour. See you all!! ‘I Fly Tour’ Guests will proceed to airport as per group flight schedule. Tour concludes.
